Winston Plowes’ Second Found Poem from Outside the Poetry&Words Tent

Winston Plowes camped outside Poetry&Words every morning, inviting passers-by to take a spin on his poetic cycling machine.  Here is the second of the poems he created in this way…

Between

Between them there was a fantastic wheel of love

The light came through like a chain from heaven

A tranquil journey

just off the map

on the open track

urban sweat, country rain

Joyful saddle, heavy machine

A no-hands Grifter

I was rolling

healthy in my head,

words awake

Smooth spokes

and rubber wheels

get me home

The light came through like a chain from heaven

Between them there was a fantastic wheel of love
