A Virtual Tour of Poetry&Words since 2008

Hi everyone

In a couple of weeks’ time, I will be speaking about the Poetry&Words stage at the Folk Alliance Conference in Toronto. In preparation, I’ve put together a list of links, highlighting some of the talented folk who’ve graced the stage since I took over from the late, great Pat VT West in 2008. I thought some of you might like to see the list too, so I’ve pasted it in below.

I’ve missed many wonderful past performers off this list, so please don’t be offended if you’re one of them. What I’m aiming for here is to give a flavour of the variety of talent we showcase, rather than to list our greatest hits. Enjoy!

Poetry&Words, Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts

This list is intended to give a flavour of Glastonbury Festival’s poetry stage. Andreattah Chuma. Andreattah performed for Poetry&Words in 2008 and 2010. She also featured in the Radio Four play Glastonbury Poetry Diaries, written by Pete Hunter and Helen Gregory and recorded on site in 2010. If you are a poet who is interested in performing at Glastonbury Festival, you should e-mail your application to poetryandwords@hotmail.co.uk. We ask poets to submit their artistic c.v., plus one or more audio and/or video files of them performing their work. (Attachments are accepted, so long as they aren’t too huge!) We can also provide a snail mail address for postal applications. For 2013, applications must be received by midnight on Sunday 10th March. The 2013 Poetry&Words line-up will be made public from April 2013 to June 2013.
